Notodofilmfest.com Expiration Date
Notodofilmfest.com should be administered
at the onset of a movie-like fever. As soon as you
finish reading these instructions you may begin to
send us your capsules, movies that is, to take part
in the third edition of the festival. Careful, though,
the effects of the Notodofilmfest are
temporary almost two months and completely wear off at
midnight on 18 May 2003. Don´t wait until the
last minute to send in your movie. Give yourself enough
time because remember, if you have to correct a mistake,
fix it ,then send it back to us, you will at least
have plenty of time to do so and will avoid any last
minute jitters.
How to take
As soon as your short film arrives at the festival,
and after we´d made sure everything is in order,
it will go directly into our Medicine Cabinet
(Projection Room). Once the deadline to send
in your short films has passed, it will then be sent
to our Selection Committee and they will decide which movies will take part in
the contest and can opt for a Jury Prize or
an Audience Prize.. The Committee
is composed of these specialists in the movie business:

- Nico García (Boca
Interactiva Director of Projects)
- Susana Herreras (Sogetel)
- Paco Mateo ("La Gran Ilusión" magazine)
- Lidia Mosquera ("+ te vale", TV
Program of Canal +)
- and María Rubín (Short Films Area of Canal +)
These selected capsules will form
part of the section known as “Films Selected”
while the jury decides and during the period in which
the audience votes. The other films, those that have
not been selected, will make up the section known
as “The Others”, just
like last year.
Magic Formulas
As a patient of Notodofilmfest.com
we will let you know if your short film goes on to
participate in the “Films Selected”
section. You will then get two invitations to attend
the Award Ceremony. We´ll let you know the date
in due time. But this is not the only way you´ll
benefit from our medication....
Once the deadline to send in your films has passed,
(again, 18 May),
we will send all the selected capsules chosen for
the contest to our distinguished Medical Board
(Jury) so they can diagnose and choose their favorite
short films. They have the last word since they will
decide who deserves these:
- Grand Prize for the Best Film: € 18,000.
- Four Second Prizes: € 3,000 each
- Special Prize (+ Te Vale ) Best Animation Film: € 2,500.
The audience will also award a prize for the Best
Film—The People´s Choice Award.
Once all films have been received, we will activate
a voting system on our web site so that each person
can vote for his favorite film. This prize is €
2,500. We recommend you take good care of
your friends and family so that they are in perfect
state of mental health and vote for the best film,
yours!
Warning
If the results of the tests performed by the Selection
Committee are not what you expected and your
capsule has not been chosen to enter the contest,
don’t lose heart. Notodofilmfest.com
will give you the chance to ask for a second opinion.
This year, the tradition continues with the Barabbas
Prize. What is it, you ask? It´s very
simple: just like the people saved Barabbas from the
sinister clutches of Pontius Pilate the Notodofilmfest.com
audience can save one of the films not selected by
the Committee to enter the contest. If the people
feel that the selection panel is guilty of malpractice,
you must prove it by giving an award to the best short
film. The lucky winner will receive €
1,000 and the satisfaction of having been
given another shot at redemption. So, if your film
goes in the “The Others”
category, don’t lose sleep over it: the audience
might still like it and reward you for it.
