Jona lives between Italy and Spain. A graduate in Applied Zoology and with a diploma from the International Theatre School in Rome, he worked as a ship’s captain for eight years, while simultaneously acting in theatre, films and television. Together with Alessandro Fabrizi, he directed the PIESSE theatre company for five years. He gave acting classes in a reformatory. At the end of the 1990s, he began to direct shorts, video clips, documentaries and television programmes. At the same time, he created the international network of artists Human’s Point and produced the first experiment in collective creativity: Human’s Y2K, a documentary shot in 15 countries about humanity’s mental chaos at the end of the millennium. Since 2001, he has continued to collaborate with artists in the five continents, making video clips and advertising for the Indian market. In recent years, he made the feature film MOVE!, the first example of a film produced using Internet as a production office. Currently, he is preparing together with Vladimir Cruz the feature film Traveler and another Web project, Concrete, with Cruz and Paolo Ronchi. |
